At the edges of the world
The impressive photographs reveal the diversity of indigenous lifestyles and habitats on several continents. The pictures do not contain any romantic transfigurations or portrayals of the “noble savage”. They show a reality in which people from different cultures face the challenge of harmonising their lives and habitats with external influences.
The authentic photographs are sensitive testimonies full of beauty – created during numerous encounters at eye level to give a voice to people on the fringes of our civilisation. For three years he was travelling through Africa, South America, Asia and the Arctic Circle.
